About my Farm

In this first paragraph, I should introduce myself.
My name is Lauryn Burns and I breed American Polydactyls. A Polydactyl animal means, "having many toes." This includes humans. This is one of my females, Sevin. (On the left) She has seven toes on each of her front feet, and 5 on each rear. Hence her name. She is a gray, tiger striped tabby Poly.

I am just really beginning to learn about this wonderful breed of feline. Not only do they have a wonderful temperment, they are warm and friendly. Certainly, not all poly's have a good personality, but that is one of the qualities that I breed for. I hope to pass along some information to better educate you and help you make the correct choice for your pet.

Feb. 21st.

Updates on my site ! Please see the "Nursery Page" for the newest arrivals ! As of April 25th, 2002

This being a fairly new recognized breed of cat, will hopefully be added to the CFA as a pedigree. As I receive the information, I will put it on my site. You can also contact me via Email if you have a question that I do not cover.

For those of you who would like to register your Poly with REFR, it is open registration at this time. Only because, like I mentioned up above,it is a new recognized breed of feline. I will put the application info on also.

I don't have too much info at this time, on whether it will be included in the CFA, but I hope to hear real soon.

Qualities of breeding
Of course beauty and "Toes" should be number one in breeding. However, not on my farm. Sometimes people get so caught up with what the cats look like, that they forget no matter how pretty, noone likes a mean cat !

I breed for personality, charm and character first, and then toes and beauty. I have never really had an ugly cat ! I think they are all beautiful, but you may be looking for a certain color or long or short hair. Whatever the case, you should always make sure that THEIR personality fits YOU. Just like humans, sometimes you just may not get along with a certain cat.
